Frontend Engineer

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to develop the dashboard for the Plutoshift platform. Process real-time data from industrial systems. Work with the backend and data science team to deploy the platform for customers. Work with the users to understand how to make the platform even better. Work with the Client Engagement team to deliver on specific customer use cases.

Position Responsibilities:

The following duties are required:

  • Write production code using modern JavaScript (ES5/ES6). Need to be highly proficient with it.

  • Strong knowledge of HTML/CSS, including concepts like layout and cross-browser compatibility

  • JavaScript on the server (NodeJS, ExpressJS)

  • Work with ReactJS framework to develop the dashboard

  • Work with tools such as Babel, Webpack, and NPM.

  • Work with test frameworks such as Jest

  • Work with wireframe tools such as Balsamiq

  • Work with data visualization tools such as D3

Backend Engineer

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to work with Plutoshift customers to deploy our platform. Build the real-time data connector with customers’ data systems to set up our platform. Develop features for the Plutoshift platform to process real-time data from industrial systems. Work with the data science team to deploy the packaged AI models. Work with Plutoshift team members to ensure that the customers are fully engaged with the platform.

Position Responsibilities:

The following duties are required:

  • Work with various moving parts of a real-time cloud platform including databases, APIs, and load balancers

  • Understand various data pipelines and streaming frameworks

  • Build the platform packages using Python

  • Develop the platform using Django and Django REST Framework

  • Manage user data using SQL Databases (MySQL)

  • Manage data using noSQL Databases (Cassandra)

  • Manage our cloud computing architecture on Google Cloud

  • Work on Configuration Management (Ansible)

  • Manage builds and releases on Jenkins

  • Manage orchestration on Kubernetes

  • Manage code management on Git

  • Manage engineering priorities on Jira

  • Write production code to process real-time data and product outputs from machine learning models

  • Work closely with the data science team to help deliver on specific customer use cases

Proficient in:
  • Python

Machine Learning Engineer

What is Plutoshift?

Plutoshift is a leading Performance Monitoring Solutions company. We assist our clients by designing and deploying comprehensive performance monitoring solutions that in real-time track, manage and predict key metrics/KPIs critical to effective industrial asset and process management.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to work with data scientists to produce production code for Plutoshift’s platform. You are:
  • A skilled OOP Python programmer experienced in writing production code (3+ years).

  • Have a deep understanding of data structures, data modeling, and software architecture.

  • Have the ability to conduct a rigorous analysis of data and chart out clear take away(s) from Big Data sources.

  • Understand Python packages such as Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Sklearn, Matplotlib and Tensorflow/Keras.

  • Possess the ability to design solutions independently based on high-level architecture.

  • Deploy the model into production, detecting anomalies, fine-tuning HyperParameters, and cross-validating as needed.

  • Estimate resources, GPU requirements, analyzing the cost of running a continuous. a recommendation engine, ensuring the stability of the model, performance, accuracy, etc.

  • Comfortable translating Jupyter notebooks and scripts from data scientists into reproducible code.

  • Experienced in parsing and preprocessing large timestamped datasets for analysis.

  • Very comfortable with Git and best practices in version control.

  • Advanced degree in computer science, math, statistics or a related discipline.

  • Extensive data modeling and data architecture skills.

  • Knowledge of Hadoop or another distributed computing systems.

  • Experience working in an Agile environment.

  • Advanced math skills (linear algebra, Bayesian statistics, group theory).

  • Strong written and verbal communications.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in feature engineering, feature selection, model training, and model selection.

  • Comfortable performing exploratory data analysis on new datasets as well as prototyping analytic solutions to solve novel problems.

  • An understanding of the math and theory behind common machine learning concepts including regression, classification, deep learning (MLP, RNN, etc.), error metrics (MSE, accuracy, precision, etc.), ensemble methods, etc.

  • Experience with various messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ will be considered a plus.

Job Requirements:

  • Select features and building recommendation engines using machine learning techniques.

  • Data pre-processing using state-of-the-art methods.

  • Enhance data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytical systems.

  • Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets for various industrial processes

  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.

  • Coordinate with various data scientists, customer engagement, engineering teams and demand gen team to implement models and monitor outcomes.
